***** This email was received from the INTERNET *****

I have objected to receiving payslips by post in a previous job - one of
those flimsy, tear off the edge things with the address just written on the
front and posted (and in my case the payroll number on the front!) -
arguably it could be a breach of the 7th principle, particularly where the
address is say a block of flats? - I don't object to such a document being
put in a normal envelope and then posted.

The right to prevent processing needs the processing to cause or be likely
to cause unwarranted and substantial damage or distress?

        Chris

We have hit a situation where some employees have objected to their pay
slips being sent to their home address (contains confidential info, is
private, may be opened by others, could get lost etc).

This looks initially like a 'No consent' and should stop but I believe
the argument will be they have signed terms and conditions - any
        comments?

        Thanks

        Arthur
