        Subject: DVLA Information

***** This email was received from the INTERNET *****

We recently received some personal data from DVLA regarding a car owner who had committed a parking contravention - all well and good and above board.

However it has now come to light that the same car owner was caught on CCTV 'hitting' another car but driving off without leaving his details. Are we able to use the personal data that the DVLA have already given us to track him down (DPA Section 29) even if the DVLA do not want the personal data used for private car park incidents?

        Many Thanks
        Steve
