Just for the record, I was not casting any implication on anyone.

All I am saying is that if you can say "I have a qualification in DP",
it makes it easier to defend one's position

I am not having a go at ISEB, nor at qualifications in general. I just
don't like the inference that the particular DPO did or said anything
wrong, or that just any ISEB qualified person would be in a better
position to advise in that particular case. Nor did I like the
inference that that DPO's knowlege was less than yours (or that of any
other person who had been through that
course) because he was trained by me. Hopefully this was not Chris's
intention, but that's the impression it gave me.

I'm not sure whether I will get an apology or even whether I deserve
one, but I do have clients without ISEB who can knock spots off some who
do. And (to try to retain some semblance of balance) vice versa. I
also know a few people with ISEB who wouldn't dare argue with Legal
Services.
