Parmjit Gill, who won Leicester South for the Lib Dems the other day, was
Data Protection Manager for Charnwood Council (he has just resigned to
devote his time to being an MP) and, according to my sources, is really
expert on data protection. Might be a useful person to contact if anyone
wants to do lobbying on data protection issues.
