Hmm.

I'm sorry to say I disagree, because s120 (4) of the 1997 Police Act says:

"(4) A person applying for registration under this section must be-
  (a) a body corporate or unincorporate,
  (b) a person appointed to an office by virtue of any enactment, or
  (c) an individual who employs others in the course of a business."

This appears to be one of those delightful instances where the law confuses
everyone by using the term "person" to refer to a legal person, not a living
individual (or "natural person"). It seems to me to mean that a "registered
person" must normally be an organisation, someone in a statutory role or an
unincorporated employer. No doubt because of the confusion, the CRB tries
to use the term "registered body" whenever it thinks it can get away with
it, but nowhere in the legislation does it make provision for such an
entity.

The problem is, I have a lingering doubt that there may be something I've
missed. Before I go around telling people that "registered body" is, if you
like, the colloquial term for "registered person" I want to be absolutely
sure, which is why I welcome other people's thoughts.
