Unfortunately junk mail also has a financial cost (as well as an
environmental cost) which is not picked up by the producer - everyone has to
pay for rubbish disposal and recycling through their council tax and this is
only likely to increase!

Don't bin it - put it out for recycling. Then you'll also be helping
your council meet its targets. If no-one put out any paper for recycling
then they'd *never* reach the approx 50% by weight that the government
is asking for, from the remaining rubbish.
