I e-mailed my MP towards the end of 2002 to ask for his Data Protection
Notification reference because I couldn't find his name in the on-line
register. Never got a reply - but a little while later his name
mysteriously did appear in the register.

I also wrote to him once (can't remember the subject). Reply was something
along the lines of he was part of the government (some very junior
commission post) so couldn't help me as it might go against policy.

Oh - and he hasn't run surgeries for years. Never mind, he's got his
knighthood.
