Difficult to comment, Lilly, without more detail - what does the marketing
"consent" say and what is the context in which it is given - i.e. what is
it you are responding to, where in relation to the email address/contact
details is the "consent wording", what other information is there about the
use of the information you are giving and is the giving of the email
address mandatory?

Dear All,
Claritas sell the emails to anyone who wants to buy
them - although they don't actually release them as
they do the email transmission. But the opt-in box
does not SPECIFICALLY mention email. I think it's
pushing the rules to breaking point. Moreover I find
it misleading and not transparent - any comments
welcome!
