Further to my earler reply, I did check the Lahey ABORT, and it just issues a message, with no traceback. Printing your own error message, followed by a call to ERRTRA and finally a STOP will do it for you.

Subject: ABORT with traceback

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a routine in NAG's compiler to abort execution
and produce a stack traceback?

....
Similar question for Intel and Lahey.
Thanks,
Aleksandar
