I trust that some readers of comp-fortran-90 may be interested in a course that I run on Fortran 95 - such courses are becoming rare nowadays. With the help of Prof. John Reid (author of "Fortran 95/2003 Explained") and other colleagues, I am running a 5 day course "Scientific Programming with Fortran 95" from Monday Oct 11th to Friday Oct 15th at Cranfield University's Shrivenham Campus located between Swindon and Oxford in the UK. The course forms part of our modular MSc programme and is aimed at science and engineering graduates with perhaps little programming experience. The course is based around and covers the material of Stephen Chapman's book "Introduction to Fortran 90/95" with additional sessions on Numerical Libraries and Software Tools. The course is delivered in a well-equipped LINUX teaching laboratory by practical sessions interspersed with short lectures. We still have a few places left on the course. The course fee is £1200 for the 5 days and includes a copy of Chapman's book, course folder of slides and tutorial sheets, refreshments and light buffet lunches. We offer reduced fees of £750 for academic staff and £500 for research students.
