  International  Design and Technology  Research   Conference 2005

  Call for Papers

  For the past three years DATA has held highly successful research
conferences for the International design and technology

  community. The Annual International Conference is just one   manifestation
of DATA’s commitment to research  and t he International Research Conference
2005

   will be part of the   fourth DATA Conference and will include keynote
speakers, paper,   poster and PowerPoint presentations, as well as formal
and   informal

   seminars and discussions. We are now calling for   proposals for papers,
posters and PowerPoint presentations as   well as those for the UK and
International

   Keynotes.

  We welcome submissions on any aspect relating to design and   technology
education, but are particularly interested to receive   proposals
concerning:

  • the use of new and emerging technologies in design and / or  technology
education

  • the impact of government strategies on design and technology

  • assessment

  • pedgogy

  • sustainability .

  A sponsored research programme, incorporating the Professor John
Eggleston Memorial as well as the UK and International keynote

  lectures, is now well established within the Conference schedule   and
will continue in 2005. Those selected to present these lectures

  will receive £750 and a free delegate place at the full conference
(total value approximately £1200). To be considered for the UK and

  international keynote, please submit a 400 word summary to the  Journal
Editorial Board c/o DATA at the address below.
