I suppose said Roger's a mindful having been turned into a superstar of the late 1960s and chucked into the security of the BBC. A while back, while at Leicester as writer in residence, I had the odd occasion of hearing Roger over the wireless and he sounded so very far removed from whatever he happened to be in the 1960s.A disappointment.
