Doesn't it hide it if you set the properties of the
gradebook column to not show to students? I think so, because that's how the
US maillists suggest you 'fiddle' the total/average scores, but it's not
something I use. Others are probably more familiar with it. Where I'm not sure
is whether you need to remove the link to the quiz as well, because I think
the above hides it from my grades but not if you go back and look at the test.
However, depending on how it's set, you might not get back into the quiz
anyway.

A lecturer has an
assessment of MCQs , etc and so the Blackboard system has provided a column
automatically on the on-line gradebook.
The students can
also see their marks. When we'ed lime to achive is a situation whereby
the lecturer leaves the marks on the system for say one week and then makes
them unavailable to students but without actually losing them. The only
workround I can see is to export the gradebook and then make the assessment
unavailable, but was wondering if there more elegant
solutions?
