Re: Career Development Opportunities - London Museums HUB

The Museum of London is leading on a number of projects as one of the main partners in the London Museums HUB. One of the key strategic aims of the London Museums HUB is to widen museum audiences to better reflect the diversity of London, and to explore the potential of museum collections to better reflect the heritage of Londoners.

The Museum is therefore looking to recruit the following 3 positions:

Refugee Project Co-ordinator

You will co-ordinate and manage the 'Preserving the cultural heritage of London's refugee communities' project and be responsible for carrying out research and evaluation into refugee projects that have been developed in partnership with museums and refugee organisations.

Diversity website Project Manager

The post holder will manage and develop a website to promote the achievements and programmes of culturally diverse services delivered by museums across London.

London Museums Hub Project Manager

You will oversee the implementation and delivery of the above projects and other HUB programmes including 'Assessing what we collect' and 'Say it again' which will look at how museums can reinterpret material in their collections relating to diversity. You will support the above post holders in developing their projects, as well managing, monitoring and reporting against project objectives and outputs and budget allocations.

All posts are offered on a fixed term basis until March 2006.

A full job description for each post is attached along with a copy of the advert which is running in today's edition of The Guardian and on www.museumjobs.com.

For an informal discussion on any of these posts, please contact Chandon Mahal on ext. 5774.
