Sokari's idea is great except that it's anti-war focus is too narrow given the diverse history of protest in the Square over the last 150 years: inc. extension of voting, anti-colonialism and racism etc. It would be better if the proposal was more embracing of protest. I have emailed a comment to this effect on the Plinth website. A few years ago Lawrence & Wishart published a book on the history of the Square concentrating on protest written by Rodney Mace. I have emailed L&W suggesting that they consider re-publishing/up-dating it.
