Dear all,

The answer to Chris Jones' question is that, depending on their condition, it should be possible but I do not know how to do it from a technical perspective.  These blocks are usually designed to be reproduced onto newsprint of other lower grade media than photographic paper.  They may also need particular inks to be used in the printing process.  My suggestion would be to ask the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television who should be the experts in this field and thus best placed to advise you.  Their contact details are:

Address:  National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD1 1NQ

Telephone:  0870 70 10 200  (main switchboard)

Regards,

Nick Mays
