RECORDS MANAGEMENT UNIT DATA PROTECTION OFFICER (37 hours per week) SALARY: SCALE SO £21,282 ? 23,358 The County Council's Records Manager/Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer has overall responsibility for compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 within the County Council. The Data Protection Officer, under guidance, will develop practices and procedures to help maintain and improve the Council's compliance with the Act, manage all subject access requests, help with training and answer general enquiries from the public and staff. The work is vital to ensure that data protection legislation is consistently applied across the Council.
