British Library Reaching the Regions showcase on 6 April 2004 Booking period extended to 31 March 2004 During the last 18 months, the BL has worked in partnership with Museums, Libraries and Archives Councils NEMLAC and SEMLAC, to produce a wide range of projects mostly aimed directly at the public, some in support of staff development. Now that the programme is coming to an end, an opportunity is being offered for the wider cultural professions to hear how they worked and to see the results. A number of electronic resources have been developed and those on the web will of course be available to all. Their developers will demonstrate how they work and where they will be useful to your users. The British Library's emerging and ongoing regionally focused programme will be outlined during the day. Why attend? * Full briefing on working in partnership with the BL * Hear about the individual projects based at member institutions of NEMLAC and SEMLAC * Ask questions about the projects from their developers * Try out some new electronic resources for your users Meet colleagues from many member organisations who are active within their regional Museums, Libraries and Archives Councils (MLACs) 6 April 2004 10.15 - 16.00 St Pancras Chaired by Helen Jackson, Chief Executive, SEMLAC Details of Reaching the Regions projects can be found at http://www.bl.uk/concord/reaching-projects.html <http://www.bl.uk/concord/reaching-projects.html> The Showcase programme and how to apply can be found at http://www.bl.uk/concord/reaching-showcases.html <http://www.bl.uk/concord/reaching-showcases.html> DISCOUNT FOR ALL MEMBER INSTITUTIONS OF A MUSEUMS, LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE COUNCIL ____________________________ Henry Girling Regional and Library Programmes The British Library 96 Euston Road London NW1 2DB T: 020 7412 7333 F: 020 7412 7155 E: <mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask] W: <http://www.bl.uk> www.bl.uk ____________________________ ************************************************************************** Experience the British Library online at www.bl.uk Adopt a Book this season !
