Research Assistant/Associate: population genetic analyses for association studies
£21,368 - £24,405 Inclusive of London Allowance
This appointment is for 2 years in the first instance, starting 1 March 2004 

The project is a collaboration between Imperial College and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).  The study will investigate the genetic heterogeneity of the GSK population genetic collections, in order to measure levels of genetic heterogeneity within and between the Caucasian populations, and consequently to develop and apply statistical methods for genetic association analyses. You should be a recent or imminent PhD graduate in statistical genetics or related field (statistics, bioinformatics, population genetics), or an MSc graduate with subsequent relevant experience. You should be able to program, preferably in C or similar, and use statistical software.
