CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences has the following Job Vacancy Research Scientist, Statistical Data Mining, Health Informatics $92K - $102K (AUD) + superannuation Location: Canberra Ref No: 2004/708 We require a talented and committed statistician to lead data mining research in Health Informatics. The group consists of statisticians and data miners with software engineering support researching a number of areas in health. These include (spatio-) temporal surveillance of health data to identify adverse events, epidemiological studies, methods of dealing with partially missing data, methods that test for ecological biases in data sets and developing methods for analysing data at the unit record level while preserving patient confidentiality. The activity has a significant external focus and the applicant will be working extensively with external clients.
