Statistician
Division of Psychological Medicine, Clinical Trials Unit (CTU)

Applications are invited for a Statistician to join the Institute's 
Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). The unit was established in 2002 with the aim 
of becoming a centre of excellence for clinical trials, meta-analyses and 
related methodological research in mental health and the neurosciences. It 
has close links with the Biostatistics and Computing Department within the 
Institute of Psychiatry.

The Post holder will be expected to contribute to the statistical support 
and collaboration functions of the unit. In addition, the post holder may 
participate in the teaching programme of the Biostatistics and Computing 
Department. Applicants should ideally have a postgraduate qualification in 
medical or applied statistics, and preferably one or more years of 
experience working as an applied statistician. An interest in clinical 
trials and experience with statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA and 
S-Plus is essential.

Starting salary in the range £23,259 pa to £29,473 pa, depending on 
qualifications and experience.
