Apologies for cross-postings

The Centre for Applied Statistics at Lancaster University is running a
short course on GAUSS. The course is on the 17th and 18th June 2004.
This course introduces the GAUSS package, explains the syntax and
introduces a wide range of statistical models which can be fitted.
Topics covered include: the manipulation of data files, an introduction
to the Gauss programming language, basic statistics (e.g. descriptive,
OLS), creating graphs, using the Gauss applications course for quantal
response (e.g. logit, probit, ordered response, Poisson regression) and
using the Gauss Maximum Likelihood and Constrained Maximum Likelihood
courses for linear and non-linear models.
UK Social Scientists may be eligible to attend the course free of
charge. A number of ESRC bursaries are available to cover the course
fee, with possible assistance towards travel and subsistence.
