Third Announcement of 1st International meeting: Methodological Issues in Oral Health Research: Follow-up Studies April 21-23, 2004, Leuven, Belgium Hosted by the Catholic University of Leuven Ø Aims of the meeting The immediate aims of the meeting are:(1) establishing an overview of current and future research topics in oral health follow-up studies; (2) establishing an overview of the statistical methods currently employed in oral health follow-up studies and the need for new statistical developments; (3) enhancing the communication between oral health researchers and statisticians. A long-term aim of the meeting is establishing a network of oral health researchers and statisticians involved in oral health research. Ø Theme of the meeting A state of the art in oral health follow-up studies both from a dental as well as a statistical perspective will be given by renowned researchers. The invited speakers were encouraged to give a presentation, attractive to both oral health researchers and statisticians. Plenary and discussion sessions will give the participants the opportunity to confront their views. Ample time will be available for oral health researchers and statisticians to meet informally. Posters will be on display prior to and during the entire meeting. Ø Call for oral contributions and posters Participants are invited to present their work either as an oral presentation or as a poster. To promote the collaboration between dental researchers and statisticians, priority will be given to contributions presented jointly by the oral health researcher and the statistician. The official language will be English.
