Statistical analyses and Markov modelling of survival rates of Sudden
Cardiac Arrests (SCAs)

This post is available for 3 years to carry out extensive statistical
analyses and Markov modelling of survival rates of Sudden Cardiac
Arrests (SCAs) and response times of volunteers in a cardiac research
project. The research project is entitled ‘A study of the effectiveness
and cost effectiveness of Public Access Defibrillation in urban and rural
populations in Northern Ireland’.

The post will involve the use of Spatial modelling systems, Statistical
computing software and Geographical Information Systems. Applicants
must have a degree or equivalent in Operational Research/Statistics or
related subject and hold or be about to submit a PhD or equivalent in
Operational Research/Statistics or related discipline. A good record of
Operational Research/Statistics research publications and experience
with computational methods are also essential. Full criteria will be listed

 Salary Scale: £18,267 - £27,339 per annum
