Applications are invited for the Chair of Applied Statistics, tenable
from 1 August 2005 in the School of Applied Statistics (see
www.reading.ac.uk/Statistics). The School has a long-standing reputation
and includes as component parts the Statistical Services Centre and the
Medical and Pharmaceutical Statistics Research Unit. Candidates will have
an international research reputation and will be expected to play a leading
role in the development and application of statistical methods for the
life sciences. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates with
interests in statistical methods for research into genetics, bioinformatics,
computational biology and the environment.
