Apologies for cross postings BIOMETRICIAN The New Zealand Institute for Crop & Food Research Limited is a Crown Research Institute providing research, advice and service to clients in the arable, vegetable, floriculture, seafood, processed food and nutrition industries in New Zealand and internationally. We are seeking a biometrician/statistician to join our Biometrics team for a fixed one-year term whilst a staff member is on parental leave. You will be based at either Lincoln (near Christchurch) or Palmerston North and will be part of a group of five staff providing specialist statistical advice and services to research staff. You will work on projects involving human nutrition and health (including some clinical trials), sensory evaluation analysis, pest and disease control research, post-harvest storage and food quality, crop physiology and agronomy, molecular biology, and the development of crop simulation models and decision support aids. You will have a post graduate qualification in statistics and relevant work experience, an approachable personality, the ability to communicate statistical ideas effectively to staff, and familiarity with statistical software (preferably Genstat or S-Plus).
