Senior Clinical Data Scientists - Greenford, Middlesex

Applications are invited for a number of exciting career opportunities
within the Clinical Data Management department (phase II to IV) at GSK, to
be located at either the Greenford or Harlow offices. Working in a dynamic
global organisation you will face the challenge of developing medicines of
the future and delivering our exciting pipeline of products. Key to this
will be the implementation of electronic data management (eDM) within GSK.


You will be encouraged to use your excellent communication and
relationship building skills both within your therapeutically aligned drug
development team and externally in the wider data management and
pharmaceutical community.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a "can do" approach and a
broad background in data management (or related function) in the
pharmaceutical industry, and who have a sound understanding of the drug
development process (it is anticipated that at least five years relevant
experience would be needed to develop this level of understanding)

Job Requirements:

Ideally a minimum of 5 years data management experience or related field
in pharma
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working in a matrix environment

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a "can do" approach and a
broad background in data management (or related function) in the
pharmaceutical industry, who are:-
- highly skilled in core data management principles including knowledge of
data/database structures
- have a sound understanding of the drug development process (it is
anticipated that at least five years relevant experience would be needed
to develop this level of understanding)
- confident in liaising with, negotiating with and influencing customers
and colleagues at varying levels of seniority both within the UK and
internationally.
- highly accountable with a proven track record of ensuring that projects
(including deliverables expected from a third party) are delivered to
agreed timelines and with appropriate quality.
- experienced in long term planning and who demonstrates flexibility in
prioritising, assessing and negotiating resource.
- motivated to seek opportunities and challenges and seize these with
proven problem solving skills to provide innovative solutions.
- customer focussed with an understanding of the needs of your clinical,
statistics and regulatory colleagues.
- active in industry fora and/or company representation at external
meetings.

Ideally a successful candidate will already have experience of
implementing eDM into the clinical trial management process, although not
all of the vacant positions require this.
