With exciting new compounds currently in development in the respiratory and inflammation therapeutic areas, targetted at asthma, rhinitis, COPD and RA disease areas, the Clinical Pharmacology Statistics and Programming team based in Greenford is a vital part of the matrix that brings new drug compounds through from the laboratory into healthy volunteers and ultimately to our key customers, the patients. In a fast-paced environment, as a senior member of a team of energetic and busy young professional statisticians and programmers, you will be contributing to every aspect of the design and analysis of trials of these new compounds in Phase 1 of their clinical development. As well as using your proven statistical expertise, you will advise international clinical development programmes and also research statistical methodology appropriate for new areas. Working closely with clinical pharmacologists, clinical research scientists, and data managers as well as other statisticians, you will have excellent team-working and planning skills, along with a wide knowledge of the drug development process. In addition, as a senior member of the team, you will have opportunities to influence departmental strategy, as well as coaching and advising junior team members. You should have a minimum of 7 years experience, preferably some of this time being in the clinical pharmacology area, and have demonstrated ability to contribute successfully and to influence in a cross-functional matrix environment.
