(Apologies for cross posting) Hello, Here at Nottingham we are beginning to plan the "practicalities" for the coming academic year, and have been looking for information as to how the new £1000 grant is to be paid to students. We are assuming that the grant will be paid to students in the same way that the dependant's grant etc. is currently paid (i.e by BACS along with their Student Loan if they have requested it) which requires us to check the student's registration status with the University, scan the barcode on the student's payment schedule, and send a data file to the Student Loans Company at the end of the day. However, after searching through DfES & Student Loans Company information so far we can find no evidence to either concur or conflict with our assumptions. I am wondering if colleagues have any information on how this grant is planned to be paid to students that they would be happy to share with us at Nottingham, and also any information on the institutions role in the overall administration of the scheme.
