Hi All I am emailing to ask what Universities are currently writing in letters in order for students (particularly overseas) to open bank accounts. We are having major problems here as we will not confirm term time addresses unless they are in our halls of residence. Can you let me know whether you confirm private landlord addresses in general letters for students. If not what advice you give to students who do not have any other confirmation of their term time address. Our local banks are now refusing to open accounts for overseas students unless we confirm this address on our letterheads or the student has a headed paper tenancy agreement.
