This model seems appropriate and with the forthcoming 'Chip and Pin'
for our credit/debit cards coming, pin numbers seems to be a way forward
for security provision.

Certainly with my provider I merely only needed the usual d.o.b and
address to create my account access. This may have changed in recent
times though.

The most interesting part of this particular case is that Dame Stella
Rimmington former MI5 head, is a director at Marks and Spencer, I wonder
what she thinks about all this.
