We are a long ways off the original topic of shark remains from British sites, but I'm enjoying the discussion, and I'd like contribute to it. About 3 years ago I found VERY small teeth from a collumbarium nitch at Tel el Ful in Israel. Eitan Tchernov later identified them as shark. He was convinced that these teeth were paleontological in origin, rather than archaeological, and assumed they were comtemporary with the Eocene limestone out of which the collumbarium nitches were carved. I have three excellent photos of the teeth if anyone is interested.
