Dear David,
Not too sure about the HIV testing, I have not read the Guidance recently
but I was under the impression that we should offer HIV testing to those who
want it but that we cannot insist on HIV testing for Epip workers.

What do people think

We have just recently implemented Hepatitis C screening for
midwifery students in compliance with DOH guidance. Is anyone doing
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen for midwifery students before offering them the
vaccine.
This was a recommendation in the draft guidance - Health
Clearance for Serious Communicable Diseases which is still under review.

                Thanks
