Hello all, can I ask for the list's views and opinions on fitness to attend disciplinary hearings. Members of staff who are currently in the system of being investigated for disciplinary matters have gone on sickness absence due to stress caused by this action. HR are pushing for OH to say that these individuals are fit to attend meetings of the disciplinary process. Our viewpoint is that they are not at present but correspondence may be sent through the post. The OH perspective is to support the member of staff. HR's seems to be to pursue the disciplinary process a.s.a.p.
