Lets hope that Esther's student is visually impaired or has a mobility
problem - or perhaps Meares/Irlen syndrome - rather than plain old
phonological dyslexia. Because in the latter case the Revealweb supplier
may not legally be able to help them. (I sit on the Policy Advisory
Group of Revealweb, mainly to promote the interests of the dyslexic
people that the PAG would like to have as part of its constituency when
the law allows.)

This we have discussed on DIS-FORUM before.

DIS-FORUM members can do their bit - another bit, no doubt - to help
reading impaired people, who need their print in a different format.

Please sign up now to the Right to Read Campaign at
www.dyslexia.org.uk/r2r.php. It only takes a few clicks and keystrokes.
I would hope that most disforum members would like to be associated with
it's objectives. You'll see there a list of organisations in the Right
to Read Alliance, including the BDA and led by RNIB.

If you can speak on behalf of your institution, (Student Services,
Access Centre, Disability Office etc) it would also be great to have a
long list of other supporting organisations, particularly from the
voluntary and public sectors, to add impact. Email me personally
([log in to unmask]) or follow the instructions.

Thanks in Anticipation for your support for the Right to Read.

Regards
Ian Litterick
