Are you sure?  The Information Commissioner advises not:

"Disclosures to the Elected Member as a member of the Council
Disclosures of personal data may be made to an elected member if access to
and use of that data is necessary for him or her to carry out official
duties. The member is not required to have his or her own data protection
notification and is, effectively, in the same position as an employee."
