An advert for a newly established post of Archivist will appear shortly in ARC Recruitment Plus. This will be the third professional post in a team of five that manages the archives of Barclays PLC. The team is one of the UK's leading business archives, with records documenting 300 years of history throughout Britain and overseas, and is looking to expand its role within the Group and beyond. This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic archivist wishing to broaden his/her experience. Based in south Manchester, the team is headed by the Group Archivist, and is part of a full records service for the Bank that also includes a records management team and three records centres. Applications will be by CV, and those from people who are due to qualify in 2004 will be welcome.
