medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
The last study on saint Briac (for what I know) is my own (in French) :
"Les origines irlandaises de saint Briac honoré en Bretagne : Légende ou réalité ?", in J. Carey, M. Herbert & P. O Riain [ed.], "Studies in Irish Hagiography. Saints and Scholars", Four Court Press, Dublin, 2001, p. 159-171.

I have concluded that saint Briac should have been an Irish, who came in Brittany as later as the middle of the 10th century to help to restore the religious net of churches and priories in this country, after the damages of Scandinavian Vikings.
