with apologies for cross-posting 2004 CHORD WORKSHOPS Call for Papers COMMERCE AND CONFLICT 1500-2000 24 March 2004 CHORD invites all interested researchers to a workshop devoted to the discussion of the relationship between retailing, shopping and conflict - both international and 'localised';. Proposals are invited for papers exploring any aspect of this topic, including e.g.: the impact of war on retail practices and retailers shortages and rationing shopping and patriotism selling to combatants profiteering, politics and consumer protest.
