With apologies for cross-posting 2004 CHORD CONFERENCE CALL FOR PAPERS Buyer Beware! The Business, Politics and Pleasures of Commerce A conference to be held at the University of Wolverhampton on 15-16 September 2004. CHORD invites proposals for papers and sessions exploring any aspect of the history of retailing and commerce. Proposals that focus on: the business the politics the pleasures - and pains - of commerce, retailing or shopping are particularly welcomed. Papers on all disciplinary perspectives, historical periods and geographical areas are welcome. The dead-line for the submission of proposals (including c. 200 words abstract) is 5 March 2004.
