Colleagues:

ONLINE CONFERENCE IN MEDICAL HUMAN FACTORS (OCMHF)

The Key Centre for Human Factors at The University of Queensland is hosting
an Online Conference in Medical Human Factors, to take place Fri 28 Nov
through Sun 30 Nov 2003. The program chair is Anne Miller of the Key Centre
for Human Factors.

We encourage you to take part, and to pass this message to colleagues and
students who might also be interested in taking part. Details and
registration are at:

         http://www.humanfactors.uq.edu.au/mod.php?mod=userpage&page_id=107

The online conference ("OCMHF") is intended for academics, students, and
both HF and medical professionals. Although the focus will be medical human
factors, the messages will be relevant to HF more broadly.

The technical program runs Sat 29 Nov and morning of Sun 30 Nov. There are
featured national and international speakers, panel sessions, and
opportunities for online discussion.

In mounting an online conference this year, instead of the Key Centre's
traditional "Winter School" we are building on the Key Centre's growing
experience with the online format from running the "Human Factors Online"
postgraduate program.

OCMHF will be delivered through the WebCT environment. Registration is
needed to access the conference materials and discussions. You can register
from the website given above.

OCMHF comes at a busy time in the year for those of us located in
Australia, with the ESA2003 and OzCHI2003 conferences in Brisbane the week
before, and Australian Aviation Psychology Symposium (AAvPA) in Sydney the
week afterwards.

Given all this activity, we hope that Australia-based participants will
find the online format convenient and will bring the stimulus of renewed
interactions with other colleagues to the OCMHF discussions.

An conference record for OCMHF will be produced the the conference and will
distributed for a nominal fee.

Anne Miller is happy to answer any questions:

We look forward to "meeting" you all at OCMHF!

Best wishes,

Penny Sanderson
