I've just been invited to a meeting to discuss the introduction of the 2 yr pre-reg posts starting August 2005. That will mean them rotating through A&E for 4 mths in their 2nd year. I get the impression that these posts will be instead of our existing SHO posts. It looks like the Educationalists have ignored the concerns raised by our professional bodies. Anyone got any ideas how this can be managed when we can't recruit Consultants and Staff Grades at the moment. I suppose it won't effect us till August 2006.... but it will come around soon.
