Dear all,
The next TSG Annual meeting will be hosted in the new Dept of Earth
Sciences at the University of Durham. The Web-site has now been
upgraded with a downloadable registration form and also further
information on the field excursions and short courses.
http://www.dur.ac.uk/tsg.geolsci/TSG_2004
Briefly, the meeting will have a number of additional components in
addition to the usual programme of talks and posters. These include:
- Short courses in Digital Structural Mapping,
Modelling of Digital Geology and Petroleum Geomechanics
- A special half-day field seminar open to all attendees studying
exposures of the 90 Fathom Fault at Cullercoates and/or recently
reactivated faults in the coalfields of NE England (weather permitting
!)
- Two special seminars generously
sponsored by Shell will be presented by Richard Hillis and
Chris Morley (see web-site for details)
- A post conference field trip to see spectacularly exposed examples of
transpressional and transtensional deformation structures in NE England
and SE Scotland
So - all in all, we hope it will be an exciting and entertaining event.
Those deadlines in full:
Deadline for abstracts (1 side of A4): OCTOBER 31st 2003
Deadline for registration: November 30th 2003
Cheers
Ken McCaffrey, Bob Holdsworth, Phillip Clegg & Jonny Imber
