Dear Norman,

Greetings from Sunny Southend on the Eastern English coast.

There appears to be very little published literature (leave alone evidence)
on the subject of early inappropriate discharge. There is some literature on
inappropriate discharge from intensive care units.

Investigations by the Health Service Ombudsman might provide some case
studies on this issue (if you can consider them as starting point in
evidence gathering)

I have put together some of the above information in a word document which
can be accessed from the ERPHO web site @

http://www.erpho.org.uk/viewData.asp?itemID=8239

Good luck in writing the piece in this area.

Cheers & regards,

Badri
