***Using Government Surveys and International Datasets for Research***
Friday 5 September 2003 - University of Surrey
A half-day workshop to learn about the UK large-scale government survey
data and the international datasets that are available for secondary
analysis. Attendees will learn about the research potential of such data,
how to register for and access data and where to go for help, among other
things. The seminar has been organised by ESDS Government and ESDS
International at the University of Manchester and the Centre for Applied
Social Surveys at the University of Surrey.

Wednesday September 17 2003 - University of Newcastle
A one-day workshop to learn about Sample of Anonymised Records (SARS) from
the UK Census and the UK large-scale government survey data. Attendees
will learn about the research and teaching potential of the data and how
to register for and access the data, among other things. The seminar has
been organised by ESDS Government and the SARs teams at the University of
Manchester and the Department of Geography at the University of Newcastle.
