HEAD OF RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND INFORMATION

£26,640-£29,835

Somerset County Council is seeking to expand and develop its records and
information management functions.

This new post offers a challenging opportunity to manage the development of
the service and to give strategic leadership during a time of change in
information management within the Council.  The successful applicant will
have a good knowledge of records management, including relevant information
legislation and the issues relating to electronic records management.  The
post will include corporate responsibility for implementing the Data
Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.  Strong management,
presentation, communication and ICT skills are also required, as is a
relevant archives/records management qualification.  The post will be based
in Taunton, at the heart of the beautiful county of Somerset.

A current driving licence is essential.
