This course looks at the particular
provisions for music and sound
recordings in MARC21. At the end of
the day delegates will have
*Examined the basic structure of MARC21
*Examined changing music records from
UKMARC to MARC21
*Considered new features relevant
for Music & SR
*Practised the application of MARC21
to Music & SR
The day will involve practical exercises
and provides ample teaching
material to reinforce the training
on return to the workplace
Who should attend?
Anyone responsible for the cataloguing
of music and/or sound
recordings in library systems. The
course will be particularly useful
to those preparing to migrate from
UKMARC to MARC21, but does not
depend on previous knowledge of UK
MARC.
