To all map cataloguers, librarian, curators, et al: Although I was unable to attend the ALA/CLA meeting in Toronto as planned, I have had a report about the publication of the new edition of Cartographic Materials, a Manual of Interpretation for AACR2. What is hoped will be the final proofing of the text began at the beginning of July. September remains the target for publication. It will be published in a binder, and will be a similar size to the new edition of AACR2, i.e., overgrown A4. When the editorial team asked me for an estimate of UK sales in order to plan for the publication, I said that *everyone* would be buying *lots* of copies, so don't make me wrong!
