What an exciting venture Chris Beacock is involved in! The list of episodes covers one of the first atlas efforts (Saxton's) and mapping of roads, coasts, topography, geology, and military operations. The episode covering Harry Beck's London Underground map should cover stylization, simplicity, function (I'm sure the program will visit the room at the London Transport museum devoted to that great map). However, I'm not sure about the episode on triangulation and would prefer to see an episode devoted to administrative boundaries (taking up the problem of historic or traditional counties) and property surveys. If a technically oriented episode is still required, I'd probably bump the Operation Sea Lion program out of the lineup. Cheers, Al Magary
