15th, 16th & 17th August Tarkovsky Special Event

A celebration of the work of Russian Film-maker, Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986), screening his seven
features in order of their production:

15TH 2pm ANDREI RUBLEV (1966)
15TH 6pm SOLARIS (1972)
16TH 2pm MIRROR (1974)
16TH 6pm STALKER (1979)
17TH 2pm NOSTALGIA (1983)
17TH 6pm SACRIFICE (1986)

Tarkovsky's work has influenced generations of film-makers and film-lovers alike and is universally
recognised as some of the most important films ever made. Tarkovsky's Solaris was the original work
upon which the current Steven Soderburgh / George Clooney film is based. This is a unique
opportunity to explore this Director's canon. The event is free to members of Folly and costs £2.00
per film for non members or £10.00 for a pass for all seven films.
